Terms and Conditions applied to this initial consultation
- Definitions:
- Client: the person interested in receiving advice through a consultation under the terms of these conditions.
- RCIC (Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants): The consultant duly regulated by Canadian law to provide consultation and representation of immigration, refugee and Canadian citizenship cases.
- Consultation: Meeting held in person or through virtual means in which the client will provide information to the RCIC and it will give them their immigration options to Canada.
- CICC (College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants): regulatory body of the RCIC profession
- The RCIC assigned to this initial consultation will be identified by name and license number
- The Client is seeking consultation and professional advice from RCIC
- The purpose of the consultation is to provide the RCIC with sufficient information for a complete analysis of the legal options for residing in Canada, including estimated time frames, fees and costs.
- The services to be provided under this Agreement are limited to a single consultation on the matter described above.
- The RCIC will not provide further information or advice to the Client unless the Client and the RCIC expressly agree to a continuation with respect to this or other matters in a separate written agreement relating to those other matters that has been entered into by the Client and the RCIC.
- This agreement does not obligate RCIC to act on behalf of the Client in any application or procedure.
- Should Client require further advice or representation from RCIC after this initial consultation, Client must enter into a separate services agreement with RCIC.
- Initial consultations will be provided in person or virtually via MS Teams, email, telephone, WhatsApp, Skype, Zoom or similar.
- The consultation will last between 30 to 90 minutes, but, in any case, unless expressly agreed between the Client and the RCIC.
- All parties agree to attend the meeting with reasonable punctuality.
- Any change or reported absence must be communicated less than one (1) hour in advance.
- The first non-attendance will be penalized with $50 and subsequent non-attendance will be penalized with the full charge of the fee paid for the initial consultation.
- The Client agrees to pay in advance the cost of the initial consultation with the consultant.
- The fees will be paid to the account designated by the RCIC.
- The amount of this initial consultation fee will be informed to the Client in a prior confirmation email.
- Client is entitled to a refund of any fees not earned under this agreement, unless penalties apply.
- The fees will be accrued by the RCIC immediately after the start of the provision of professional advice.
- Fees earned under this contract are non-refundable.
- The client must provide the RCIC with the information and documentation required to make the query.
- The client must be honest and must inform RCIC of all information, even if negative or adverse, that may be relevant to the advice provided by RCIC in this matter.
- Failure to fully disclose any relevant information to RCIC will impact the advice given by RCIC and may void this Agreement, or seriously affect the outcome of the Client’s application or the retention of any status the Client may obtain.
- The advice provided by the RCIC to the Client is based on the law and policy of the Canadian immigration ministry in force on the date of the consultation.
- The RCIC is not responsible for any changes in legislation or government policy that may affect the processing of any subsequent Client request.
- The RCIC will provide consulting services to the Client under the standard of a competent professional member of the CICC.
- RCIC does not guarantee that it can help the Client achieve their business, educational, employment or immigration objectives.
- The RCIC is obliged to preserve the Client’s confidences and secrets.
- This professional obligation exists to encourage sincere and complete communication between the Client and the RCIC.
- All information and documentation provided by Client and reviewed by RCIC will not be disclosed to any third party, other than agents and employees of RCIC, without prior consent, except as required by law.
- This Agreement and its terms and conditions will be governed by the laws in force in the province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
- Please note that the RCIC is a full member of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (the College), and as such, is legislated by the Law of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants, the Immigration and Refugee Protection Law and the Citizenship Law.

- By signing the Initial Consultation Agreement, you indicate that you agree to these terms, thereby agreeing to all terms and conditions set forth above in this Initial Consultation Agreement and acknowledging that any further RCIC engagement will require a new written agreement with possibly different terms.
