Terms and Conditions applied to this initial consultation
- The RCIC assigned to this initial consultation will be identify by his/her name and Licence number
- The Client is seeking consultation and professional advice from the RCIC
- The purpose of the consultation is to provide the consultant with sufficient information to allow for a full analysis and comprehensive advice on immigration options, including estimated time frames, consultation fees and costs
- The services to be provided under this Agreement are limited to a single consultation on the matter described above.
- The RCIC shall not provide further information or advice to Client unless the Client and the RCIC have expressly agreed to a continuation with respect to this or other matters in a separate written agreement concerning those other matters has been entered into by Client and RCIC.
- This agreement does not obligate the RCIC to act for Client in any application or proceedings.
- Should client require further advice or representation from the RCIC following this initial consultation, Client must sign a separate retainer agreement with RCIC.
- Initial consultations could be provided by email, in person or virtually by telephone, WhatsApp, Skype, Zoom or similar platform.
- The consultation shall last for up to 45 minutes but in any event, shall not be for longer than 1 hour, unless the Client and the RCIC have expressly agreed.
- All parties are in agreement to assist the meeting in a reasonably punctual manner.
- Any changes or absence reported with less than one (1) hour notice will be considered as non show up.
- First non show up will be penalized with 50 dollars and subsequent non show up will be will be penalized with full charge of the full amount of the initial consultation paid fee.
- The Client is obliged to pay in advance a consultation fee for initial consultation with the consultant.
- The fee shall be paid into the RCIC’s designated account.
- The amount of this initial consultation fee will be informed to the Client in an email confirmation
- Client is entitled to the refund of any fees that have not been earned under this agreement, unless mentioned penalties apply.
- For avoidance of doubt, fees shall be earned by the RCIC immediately upon the commencement of provision of professional advice.
- Fees that have been earned under this agreement are non-refundable.
- Client must provide the RCIC with such factual information and documentation as are required to perform the consultation.
- Client must be accurate and honest and must inform RCIC of all information, even if negative or adverse, which might be relevant to the advice provided by RCIC in this matter.
- Failure to fully disclose any relevant information to RCIC will impact the advice given by RCIC and may void this Agreement, or seriously affect the outcome of the application of Client or the retention of any status that Client may obtain.
- The advice provided by the RCIC to Client is based on the Canadian immigration law and policy current on the date of the consultation where relevant.
- The RCIC is not responsible or accountable for any change in government legislation or policy that may impact the processing of any subsequent application by Client.
- The RCIC shall provide consulting services to Client under the standard of a competent professional member of the College.
- The RCIC does not guarantee that he will be able to assist Client in meeting his or her business, education, employment or immigration goals.
- The RCIC is required to preserve the confidences and secrets of Client.
- This professional obligation exists to encourage candid and complete communications between Client and the RCIC.
- All information and documentation provided by Client and reviewed by the RCIC will not be divulged to any third party, other than RCIC’s agents and employees, without prior consent, except as demanded by law.
- This Agreement and its terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws in effect in the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
- Be advised that the RCIC is a member in good standing of The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (the College), and as such, is bound by The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants Act, The Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, and The Citizenship Act.

- By signing Initial Consultation Agreement, you indicate your agreement of these terms, you will by that action agree to all of the terms and conditions set forth above in this Initial Consultation Agreement and acknowledge that any further engagement of the RCIC will require a further written agreement with eventually different terms.
